This level 1/2 class with Lucy is intended for the beginner to intermediate student looking for a bit more challenge.  It includes a combination of warmups, breath work (pranayama), Yin yoga (one pose) and one Yang flow.  We will build on fundamental yoga poses, which help you gain more strength, flexibility, and balance.

Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that is slow-paced where asanas, or poses, are passively held for long periods of time (three to five minutes), working into the deep, dense connective tissues (fascia) of the body. Yang Yoga, by contrast, is a faster-paced, active, strengthening practice where you can expect to build more heat.

This class will close with a guided relaxation or silent meditation. 

Lucy always offers modifications for students of various abilities.

 

This class incorporates the evidenced-based Yoga Warriors Method:
slow, rhymic movements with positive affirmations.
